For the SEAGLOW consortium, the gathering provided an important opportunity to present the project’s ongoing work on sustainable and low-impact solutions for small-scale fisheries in the Baltic and North Sea regions, while also exploring potential synergies with other European initiatives.

Among the key moments of the event was the session on the Energy Transition for the EU Fisheries and Aquaculture sector, which provided an overview of the ongoing development of the EU Energy Transition Roadmap and the next steps under the Energy Transition Partnership (ETP). The discussion highlighted the growing importance of cooperation between fishers, researchers, industry and public authorities in shaping a realistic and inclusive transition pathway for the sector.

During European Maritime Day, SEAGLOW was also recognised by the ETP initiative and BlueInvest as a strong example of innovation contributing to the energy transition in EU fisheries. The project was acknowledged for the quality of its work, its results and its overall contribution to the sector. As part of this recognition, the project will benefit from dedicated coaching sessions with BlueInvest experts later this year.

The consortium would like to thank the ETP team, BlueInvest and CINEA for their continued support and for fostering dialogue and cooperation around the future of sustainable small-scale fisheries in Europe.

SEAGLOW partners from the Low Impact Fishers of Europe (LIFE) and Foreningen for Skånsomt Kystfiskeri-PO (FSK-PO) took part in European Maritime Day 2026 in Cyprus, joining maritime stakeholders from across […]

[8

post-2106","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-news","has-post-title","has-post-date","has-post-category","has-post-tag","has-post-comment","has-post-author","
["GET
